Hunger Games casting news

I like the poster (a lot better than the character posters they released before as someone said). I probably would like it even more if, instead of just repeating Katniss' and Peeta's photo, the banners at the side showed the other participants of the games, but that's just nitpicking.

When I saw that poster, I went Gale who?

I guess they are going to make Katniss and Peeta the lead characters like in the books. Gale is going to be that other guy.

Why wouldn't they make Katniss a lead? I don't get this observation.

Obviously Katniss will still be the lead. I meant it looks like they are going to beef up Peeta's role in the movie, which would be fine by me.

In the first book, I had always wished that we had gotten some chapters from his perspective.

I can't believe I haven't noticed this thread until now. Been pondering a new avatar, and this has inspired me. :D

Honestly, I'm afraid I'm getting my hopes too high. The trailers are just gorgeous, and I'm worried the movie just won't live up to the hype. Still, I'm getting excited. :D

Apart from not really being thin enough... I don't see a real problem with Jennifer Lawrence. Her look, when in character, is pretty much what I've been picturing.

I can't wait!

Looks like THG cast is going to do what the Twilight cast did for the first movie, go to malls to meet with fans. I hope they bring lots of SECURITY since the Twilight cast was overun with fans when they did it.

Yeah, Catching Fire was so boring for the first two acts. It dragged on. I really am looking forward to Mockingjay, though, as it was the strongest of the three books.
