Humans(2015) TV series

Okay, what spoilers are allowed in this thread. UK or US?

I'm going to spoiler-tag this discussion of this week's UK episode, though I'm not sure that should be needed.
snippage....
Really love this show.

Considering Episode 3 just aired last night in the USA, it would be appreciated that spoiler code be used for things in Episode 4 or 5 (assuming that anywhere outside of the USA is two weeks ahead).

I know you're just asking politely and not making any demands, but to my mind, the onus on avoiding spoilers is on the people who come after the first place a show or movie premieres. Otherwise, if you wanted to be totally fair, you might have to keep spoiler coding things for months or years after a show first aired or a film debuted. It's just too much work instead of the person who wants to remain unspoiled simply avoiding discussion threads until they're caught up.

Yeah, it kind of sucks if you want to have that community discussion feel, which is pretty much how West Coasters in the US feel about any running commentary threads since we're always lagging three hours behind the East Coasters. But that's just the cost of expediency, because otherwise discussion would be curbed by everything having to be in ridiculous level of spoiler coding for months.

I don't care about spoilers myself and don't find that they detract from my enjoyment of the show or movie, so I don't mind reading the ongoing discussion even if it's a little ways ahead of my viewing of the show.

Glad to see the woman receiving some rumpy-pumpy from her man-bot (would have been much funnier if they'd shown us the deed). They've successfully made all the strands watchable as far as I'm concerned.

It's picking up some pace now and I'm starting to care about the cop story more than I did before. Especially intrigued by the synth cop as Leo et al don't seem to be aware of her.

I'm guessing the synths are Apple products considering how often their batteries go flat.

I thought it was creepy. In the same way as Dad shagging Anita was creepy. He called her a 'sex toy' and that's the level of investment any human can have in shagging a robot.

Unless, of course, they don't know it's a bot. Cue one very horrified cop.

What did Jill do to her man-bot that lead to him losing his fuck-marbles? One minute, she's receiving his throbbing rod of goodness in her pleasure pie the suddenly he's gone rapey insane and needs to be put down with a golf club. What did she do to the poor man-bot?

Then she rings her ex for help?!

"I need to call someone to help me stop metal dickey from blowing his artificial beans up my stink trifle.....who should I call?.....I know, I'll call my hubby who I very recently dumped because he clearly lacked the epic piston action skills I require"

Nice.

Yep she said she'd modded him.

They don't seem to do passion very well, Anita once her 18+ mode had been activated was like a mannequin in the sack (or.. the sofa).

I was amused that the cop's wife tried to get her synth to say something romantic and he came out with an awkward factlet and the same thing happened when the synth cop tried to get the human cop to say something nice  It seems the cop's wife has traded in an awkward human for an awkward synth.

(Should look up all the names, can't remember any of them!)

And yes synth cop, who IS she? I suspect she will be the other synths' enemy.

If their sentience is based on completely different code from different creators, it could very well be a civil war between synth factions.

Pretty much gets better every week. I'm intrigued as to where synth cop's originated from. Fred escaping from Hobbs was cool but with Max going down river will they ever be able to download the message. How many EPs left now?

I think they were all made by 'Father' but he didn't tell the Family about the other one. Which means there will be more, since the show's getting a second season.

Having gone to all the effort of making herself undetectable as a synth, it's very evident that they are young, inexperienced and naive when it comes to relationships, since the cop blew her cover to a bot hater in a clumsy attempt to demonstrate her love.

I snuck into my child's room, took his favourite teddy bear to a nearby linen closet, fucked the stuffed bear, and then put the toy back in his room before he woke up the next morning, none the wiser.

^another classic night in at Guys

I find it mildly amusing that the woman screwing her bot needed to make him "better" in some way.

I also wish that when they were trying to get through to Mia that the writers had taken the obvious opportunity to get Katherine Parkinson to say......"have you tried turning her off and on again."

Not better at sex.

Better at human.

She wanted a lover who was attentive emotionally and cared about the thoughts in her head.

Although.. Did he say "Optimal declination of penetration"?

1. He repeats sex identically every time per the specifications of his penis.

Or...

2. He's sonogrammed her pussy and calculated the trajectories for the optimal declination upward into her specific vaginal cavity, and then repeats sex identically every time.

Someone buys an extremely expensive robot and then fiddles around with its program because it doesn't do inventive sex. Then when it all goes horribly wrong, phones the husband the robot has replaced to come and save her from her programming mess and then tell him to get out when he destroys robot. OTOH why didn't he just walk up and switch it off?

And yes synth cop, who IS she? I suspect she will be the other synths' enemy.

She didn't seem to want help from the other police in tracking down Niska, so it seems as though she wants to help keep their existence a secret. So I don't think she's an enemy. Perhaps she's just looking for her family.

Sex is supposed to be %90 falling asleep cuddling.

I doubt that's ever happened to a sane person, but it is a definition of intimacy that seems nice if it wasn't cost prohibitive.
