Chance, Guerrero, and Winston remember their past when the "Old Man" tries to bring Chance back into the organization.

Re: Human Target: "Christopher Chance" 4/14/10 - Season (Series?) Fina

You know, there weren't a lot of new shows this season that I really connected with.

But of the newbies, this one always delivered on the "fun" quotient.

I'm hoping it's not the last one, but if it is, I will miss it.

Re: Human Target: "Christopher Chance" 4/14/10 - Season (Series?) Fina

Last episode already? Should be exciting. I'd be surprised if the show got renewed given its pre-Idol ratings... plus it's probably expensive to make with all the action.

Re: Human Target: "Christopher Chance" 4/14/10 - Season (Series?) Fina

I enjoyed this episode a lot (the show airs Sundays here in Canada). Nice backstory stuff on Chance. I hope the show comes back - it is a lot of fun.

SPOILERS!!!

Great episode. Definitely a very fun origin show that used all the players well. Great character interaction too.

There was some funny dialogue tonight...

"What's your name?"

"Detective."

I think it was more the delivery on that one. Loved Guerrero's "My heart grew three times its size" when questioned about why he helped Chance. There's definitely material there to show how the two originally met if the show gets renewed.

Loved Lee Majors as the "original" Christopher Chance. So there is somebody who has actually beaten Chance before.

Only complaint...thought the Chance/Katherine (who I also think is still alive) needed a little more time to be fleshed out. Also, Armand Asante can still absolutely chew scenary like no one's business.

I really, really hope Fox renews this show. It's an absolute blast. It's really the kind of show you don't see on television anymore. Just an outright fun show that isn't pretenious.

Re: Human Target: "Christopher Chance" 4/14/10 - Season (Series?) Fina

That was definitely the best episode of the series. Interesting backstory. Great continuity with previous episodes. Too bad the entire thing is a set-up cliffhanger when the show is almost definitely canceled.

Re: Human Target: "Christopher Chance" 4/14/10 - Season (Series?) Fina

Above average. Best episode of the season.

I take it the cliffhanger means the show has been picked up for next season.

It was great seeing Lee Majors! Too bad he was killed off. Would have liked to see him in future episodes ... hmmm ... maybe he'll turn up in another "backstory" episode. :)

Re: Human Target: "Christopher Chance" 4/14/10 - Season (Series?) Fina

^ I heard that they have plans to bring back Lee Majors if there's a second season.

This wasn't my favorite episode. I still like a few others more, like "Victoria" and "Baptiste". It was nce to see a bit of an origin story though.

Re: Human Target: "Christopher Chance" 4/14/10 - Season (Series?) Fina

I take it the cliffhanger means the show has been picked up for next season.

All that means is the show wrapped up without knowing its status. The Pretender ended on a cliffhanger. And my favorite cliffhanger story...

The Fugitive remake with Tim Daly. Kimble catches up to the one-armed man and they're fighting. Meanwhile, the agent helping out Gerard SHOOTS Gerard and then shoots either Kimble or the one-armed man, but we don't know who he shot. Season over. Show canceled.

If Mark Valley shows up in the Fringe season finale as alternate universe John Scott, you'll know what happened to Human Target.

Re: Human Target: "Christopher Chance" 4/14/10 - Season (Series?) Fina

Good episode, probably my second favorite so far after Baptiste.

Other than showing the time when evil Chance went up against Lee Majors I don't see any way they could bring him back. Unless they pull a fast one and have it turn out that he didn't die.

Obviously the door is open for Amy Acker to return since we didn't actually see her on the boat when it exploded. Why she would allow Chance to think she was dead(and keep her dog) for six years would feel pretty contrived though.

It'll be interesting to see if Fox renews the show for another season.

Oh, and my favorite TV cliffhanger was probably the end of season 2 of SeaQuest, the ship was crashed on the bottom of an alien world's ocean, Lucas and Dagwood(I think) were on the surface with no land in sight. A cliffhanger so good that when the show came back as SeaQuest 2032 they just glossed over it all and explained the resolution as some sort of alien deus ex machina.

Re: Human Target: "Christopher Chance" 4/14/10 - Season (Series?) Fina

^ This is just my gut feeling (and how I'd possibly write it if I was running the show)... basically the previous Christopher Chance saved Katherine before the boat blew up, and then told her to run and stay away from Chance because she'd be safer that way. Either that, or maybe Winston helped her out.

So Guerrero was not just another assassin right, he was some kind of outside specialist hired to go after Chance?

Re: Human Target: "Christopher Chance" 4/14/10 - Season (Series?) Fina

It will be too bad if the show gets canceled - I've really been enjoying it quite a bit. Still haven't seen this episode, but I'll check it out later today.

Is this really in danger of being cancelled? It has more viewers than Fringe and almost as many as 24.

Another top-notch episode.

And talk about genre-friendly casting. In this ep alone, we got the Six Million Dollar Man, Amy Acker, and "Eli" from XENA . . . .

Probably and in the form of a two-parter. However I do find the part about it taking about a second and a half to completely fall for Amy Acker to be completely realistic.

^ Yeah I can totally get that.
