Re: Human Target: "Christopher Chance" 4/14/10 - Season (Series?) Fina

very strong season finale. there wasn't really a big action set piece this week but that's ok -- it focused more on the characters and their emotions.

really cool to see the backstory unfold -- no big surprises with the way it happened (and especially the ambiguity of whether katharine died or not) but the acting and sheer likability of the trio saved it.

actually this episode might've made a decent series finale if it weren't for that damned cliffhanger. it better be renewed.

Did anyone notice that the music for the opening titles was a bit different?

I noticed...it sounded as if it had been re-recorded, with several parts punched up. or emphasized.
Plus Bear McCreary's use of his Caprica theme throughout the background score.

SPOILERS!!!

Only complaint...thought the Chance/Katherine (who I also think is still alive) needed a little more time to be fleshed out.

Probably and in the form of a two-parter. However I do find the part about it taking about a second and a half to completely fall for Amy Acker to be completely realistic.

Yeah, she was absolutely adorable last night. She looked great in the second season of DH too.

the reveal of Lee Majors as Christopher Chance was pretty much the most epic thing I've seen in a while!
perfect casting for that role

I'm tempted to make a new avatar with Guerrero captioned "Dude" :D

I will be very disappointed if they cancel this show

I loved Guerrero's response as to why he didn't kill Chance.

"My heart grew three times its size."

Another top-notch episode.

And talk about genre-friendly casting. In this ep alone, we got the Six Million Dollar Man, Amy Acker, and "Eli" from XENA . . . .

Don't forget Lassie as the bad guy

Hmm, the finale got a 1.9 demo rating, the lowest rating for the show so far. Doesn't look good for season 2.

Is this really in danger of being cancelled? It has more viewers than Fringe and almost as many as 24.

Those are the only shows I watch regularly on FOX. I don't watch Idol or House, and I only watch Bones once in awhile.

Hopefully they'll give Target another season.

24 ending this season is pretty much the only hope I have of this show being renewed. Minus Glee, Fox's lineup isn't exactly bursting with new shows with the potential to grow an audience and no one has any idea how Simon Cowell leaving American Idol will affect that show.

I really liked this episode but it felt like a little too much packed into an hour of TV. Wish we had seen more of Katherine before she got blowed up (or so we're led to believe). For that matter, I would've liked to have seen more of all the guest characters. I hope Fox gives it a second season.

It was re-recorded with the massive 90-piece orchestra assembled especially for this episode.

Uh... no. Not the same theme. You probably were hearing the theme for Baptiste, which has the same decending 3-2-1 pattern that the first 3 notes of Caprica has, but thats where the similarity stops.
