Human Target casting news

Complete aside, but just for your information, ladies: I know for a fact that Mark Valley has herpes.

No, I'm not joking.

Spoilers I guess...

My question is why?

The best thing about Human Target was the interaction between the three leads. It was what made the show work and one of the main reasons the show was so much fun. Now they're throwing away that dynamic by adding a new character who is going to be giving them orders?

I had a feeling that Fox would force them to add a female cast member and I'm betting that's what happened here. I'm sure Fox will point to the "disappointing" ratings to justify their decision. But to me, you're tampering with the show's best element.
Well, I said in a post in another thread that Human Target is a Burn Notice wannabe... this clinches it.

Why are they adding new cast members? They don't need anymore!

I'm guessing that they think they can get more female viewers by adding female characters to the show.

AFAIK, Chi McBride is still on the show.

At least she's hot.

Uh...did you see the photo in that link? :wtf:

Something has gone badly wrong with her. She looks like a meth addict now.
 I wasn't going to say anything because I figured it must be a guy thing -- like why do men think Uma Thurman is attractive?
Because she is.

Geez, where did that comment come from?

I liked the computer chick who appeared in a couple of episodes. I forget her name.

I'm still watching Season 2 but I wouldn't be surprised if Fox has permanently broken what made this show so much fun.

My only knock on Human Target is that Baptiste aside, Chance has not had a worthy villain to work of. They've all been disposeable. Even "The Old Man" that Chance was so concerned about was a disappointment in his first appearance.

I think this is a good choice. That was one of my concerns about the show, it needed a female or two on it to balance out the guys. Plus, Chance needed a person he could flirt with a little. I was hoping they would bring Emmanuelle Vaugier onto the show. But Indira Sharma isn't bad. I liked her on Rome and Torchwood. Though to be honest, I don't think she's looked hotter than she did on Rome. On Torchwood she was just okay and that link's photo didn't do her any justice.

I also agree that they need to beef up the villain part. Baptiste is the best villain they had. Armand Assante's reveal didn't work for me. Perhaps if he had played the character differently, more suave, more of a corporate type, I would've liked it better. Here's holding out hope that they find a way to bring Rick Springfield onto the show, perhaps as a Christopher Chance gone wrong. As much as I like Lee Majors, man, that cameo should've gone to Springfield.
