Oh God.

I'd rather ten Helen Noel threads.

Thanks a lot. Now that song is going through my head. And that picture posted?

AGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!

Oh, I don't know: the girl in the green fills out that shirt pretty well:

I wonder if Leonard bilboed her baggins?

And with that outfit, all he needs is a sailor cap to be classified as "Total" in the "Douchebag Hall of Fame."

(P.S. God d*mn you for putting up that $#@! link, and ME for clicking on it).

I just like the foot of the girl on the far right. It's right under Carl Bilbo.

What's with that?

Since I have to read this thread I'd very much appreciate \
it if people would post the lyrics.
Many of us here suffer from a dormant case of Bilbo Baggins Syndrome
and only exposure to said lyrics will bring about a cure.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation. :)

be glad to help

Well he fought with the goblins!
He battled a troll!!
wow  :p was bilbo a mod.

Who would've believed cute girls sticking their cute little asses out could be so... so... in-fucking-furiating!

I was actually being serious with my question. Why did Leonard Nimoy make this video? Did he want to promote himself, The Hobbit, or reading in general? This was before MTV, so what network or show was it on?

Possible Explanation

"As to the origins of this video, we can now say with certainty that it was originally created for the ABC summer replacement series, Malibu-U, hosted by "Ozzie And Harriet" TV star, Ricky Nelson. The show was a beachy version of American Bandstand, with musical guests who all performed on the sand. In the episode featuring Nimoy (as well as Mrs. Miller and The Buffalo Springfield!), the Bilbo clip was introduced by Ricky as a musical number designed to push your funny button. So for those of you who have seen the video and said, "Was he serious?!", the answer is, no, he wasn't. It's supposed to make you laugh."

Huh. So it wasn't Satan, but Ricky Nelson?

I'd almost rather it was Satan.

The link also contains the original, full-length version, of the song and video, "with an introduction to the song, complete instrumental break, and the ending in its entirety."

Dear, sweet muscular Jesus, I'm tempted to click the link.

He was a big, early proponent of bulimia.

Dude, I listened to this stuff when a young teen.

I'm still in therapy for it.

It qualifies as music in the same way Shatner's 1968 album qualifies as music...as in both were dropped on Vietnam by B-52s.

Whew. I got here last today, so TBonz probably relived part of her childhood since I'm sure that she couldn't resist hitting that link on the bottom of the page.
