'Howard The Duck' on dvd

I saw it at the theater back in the day. Not my choice, but it was watchable. I have no desire to rewatch it, though.

Leah Thompson was cute.

I loved the original Howard the Duck comic. I found a copy of Ellis Weiner's novelization of the movie and read it before seeing the movie. The novel adds a lot of humour and I quite enjoyed it. Then I saw the movie. I'll pass on the DVD. Still have the comics and the novelization, though.

Thanks for the FYI. I loved this movie when I was a kid (for some strange reason) and my wife and I are pretty much the only people (I know) who like the movie. We caught the movie awhile back ON DEMAND and enjoyed re-watching and catching all of the little things that we didn't catch/understand as kids. Yeah, it's a total B-grade movie but I still think it's a fun movie to watch, particularly the parts with Jeffrey Jones' character being possessed by an alien.

I don't know. I guess I'm just wierd or something.

FYI: It is also available on Amazon.com for pre-order

I've wanted to see this again for years. I remember seeing it as a kid and being creeped out by the alien villain at the end.

Interesting trivia: before she was famous singer Tori Amos was approached to play Lea Thompson's role but turned it down.

I will say, for a duck, she had nice titties. ;)

LOL!

My Dad took my brother, sister and I to this when it was in a second run theater. He had no idea what it was or what it was about. He figured from the title it was a kids movie!!! I was 8 years old, my brother 7, and sister around 6!!!

"That was kind of a weird movie wasn't it?"
