How would you rewrite / change some of the movies?

We have 13 movies now but not everybody is satisfied with them. There are similar threads by @Bry_Sinclair in the series threads, so I thought I'd do one here.

The Motion Picture I think is iconic but not without flaws. The uniforms definitely need changing. One thing often commented on is that there's no villain - just' it', maybe there should be more focus on the Klingons?

Generations is the one I take perhaps the most issue is - it's a pity Yesterday's Enterprise was made as an episode as it would have been perfect as the basis for a movie. In fact, I tried fanediting it with other footage to 'replace' Generations, with Kirk replacing Garrett and TOS characters on board. Sure it's rough around the edges but it mostly preserves my personal vision.

Nemesis I was very disappointed by, I was hoping for a more Wrath of Khan/Undiscovered Country affair. It would have been good to see Sela or even Ambassador Spock. Maybe have Riker on the Titan as a second ship, with Data as XO

Finally it's not Prime but Into Darkness I didn't enjoy as much as 09 or Beyond, Benedict Cumberbatch is a great actor but casting him as Khan made no sense whatsoever! I'd have kept Harrison as a terrorist, the 'Space Seed/Wrath of Khan' homage felt forced, I zone out about two thirds of the way through the film!

What would you do?

I would take out ALL mind-rape scenes, in the STAR TREK movies. I think they're in incredibly bad taste and add nothing to the film except bad. Spock could still meld with Valeris, but the screaming and carrying on would be taken out and he'd just have the line, taking his hands off her face, "... she doesn't know." Outside of these instances, I'm just nickel and diming my way through the movies, here. They all had stupidity in them, they were all marked by iconic scenes that remain influential, today. The introduction of The Borg Queen, in FC, for example ... totally revised this species. TSFS, of course, introduced so much that remains to this day, like the Klingon Bird of Prey. I pick on TFF a lot, partly (I guess) because it's an easy target. But Sybok's a very memorable character and Scott's banging his head on the beam is still talked about, to this very day. Like I say, though, what I really do not appreciate is Spock's forcing that unforgivable mindmeld on Valeris and if it was the only thing I got to change in the movies, I'd be very happy about that.
