How Would You have Advanced the Voyager Series?

Voyager felt like a polished gem, I add these thereby without reservation in saying, the strange artsy ending of the series was delightful.

1 Tactics
I’d have included a strategic alien onboard, using alien strategies of cunning… something like…
Ok Captain, there is no way we can potentially win with that specifies, and if we enter their space we must fight. But luckily for you, we can use hopelessness
As you see by these neighbors, if we simply reach their communications, we can broadcast to each people the systematic destruction being imposed by a force which is actually inferior to them.
In other words? Sends message… Now they know the owners of fuel here may for the elimination of their families there, and that weapons used to control all sectors are made by the same people whom have no non energy weapons whatsoever… and if we deliver two torpedoes here… these people will reduce their power source to nothing.

Food, there sure was a lot of filming of food… it does show we didn’t think much of automated fabrication of automated fabrication? As in, they could have reverted to older tablet form of star trek technology, as officers would know a history of knowledge and application. And what to do about all the food? Maybe if the little wompa was like a space vampire, yet had the map?

Holograms… The holograms where used a lot, so fun… could have made it fun to give that tech. to home worlds and see serious consequences

They should have killed Tom and brought him back, to snap him from the lover and father role, that’s a clean split, yet it was an amazing couple? Yet their smoothness actually contradicts what I assume are countless weird Klingon Clauses about what they are and how they can treat others?
What makes it weird… is it still suggests the female was the tamer one… yet then why all the “funny??” depictions of a night after…. When the male was Klingon and the women whatever else…

 

[Bad Thoughts]

One of the looming complaints about Voyager is that the ship itself failed to bear the marks of a long, difficult Voyage. At some point, Brannon Braga proposed that as the ship encounters new cultures and exchanges with them, the crew incorporates alien technology into the ship. The result would have been a ship that was increasingly unfamiliar, with technologies they needed to learn more about along the way. That may have been one of Braga's best ideas. Voyager might still look new, but it would by morphing into something that represented all the meetings and encounters of their journey. It would have been a monument to the series itself.

They did that briefly with the Borg tech, and that lasted about 2 episodes after their alliance was dissolved. They seemed to rely on coming up with *brilliant* ideas that the entire Federation couldn’t come up with back home, like the warp 10 shuttle (eyeroll), but it would’ve made more sense to do what you’re describing.
