One of my reasons for asking this question is that while the doctor is a computer program, he acts a lot less "computer-like" in his behaviour than, say, Spock -- at least, towards the end of Voyager's run. McCoy might hold many things against the EMH, but not that he acts like a 'd*mn vulcan' (or computer, for that matter). Of course, he could still hold the opinion that it doesn't matter, as none of his behaviour is 'real', but simulated by algorithms anyway.
