Can't say I understand the concept or am likely ever to myself. I'm especially confused by the whole "they killed Maddox and that ruins The Measure of a Man." Umm, 'kay? The fact Maddox is killed in an episode made thirty years later has no bearing on The Measure of a Man at all. I mean, simply by being mortal we knew Maddox had to die some day anyway. But seeing it happen in an episode of another TV series thirty years later means the original episode is ruined?Someday I will understand the perspective of a newer show ruining my past experience. That I could watch something now that would undo my memories or a rewatch of something I have enjoyed. Thus far I have not experienced such a thing with the various franchises that have been supposedly "ruined" by additional installments.
