Spoilers How to save Star Trek's 'Legacy' entering the 25th century!

We can speculate all we want, the studio knew this was coming, tried to prepare for it, sadly SNW is a victim of it since it seems they didn't prepare enough for it.
As for Terry, he just finished picard, then the strike happened almost the same day it finished. There won't be any anouncement untill after all the writer/SAG/Director strikes are over. I doubt it will be resolved untill the others go on strike in June, then the studios will negotiate with all of them.

Picard S3 was 'in the can' a full year prior to the WGA strike; and Post was finished months prior to the strike.

All the studios definitely prepared for Strike, and they do have a negotiation strategy going forward.

As for them not going forward with SNW production without writers (even if they have scripts); THANK GOD - as there are changes and rewrites (usually for the better if they see some scene isn't working out the way they thought - so they adjust it); and you get a better end result. If they went into filming, were unable to change a word, and ended up with that as the end result; yeah, it wouldn't be good.

So yeah, I'm pleased Paramount is holding off on filming until the strike(s) (Yes, you can be sure SA/AFTRA and the DGA will go out in JUne as again, the studios think they can outlast the talent and they figure those that need the money will be telling their Union leadership to just take what's being offered... <--- Yeah, it's rarely work that way before, but the guys controlling the purse strings want to play their strategy out.)
