First kitty had seizures and went deaf around 15 and died at 17. Second kitty had a broken heart and died 8 days later at 14.
Current kitty is happy, healthy and going on 6-ish (he was adopted...we don't know his exact age).
My mother's cat, a tortoise shell manx with a really nasty disposition, lived to about 21. She was an indoor/outdoor cat. I think she was just too ornery to die.
Did I mention she was really mean?
My wife's two cats will be 6 soon.
Your wife's cats? Interesting phrasing...
My 18 year old keeps getting bladder infections and I'm afraid it will be kidney disease.
It was our first proper marriage compromise...she wanted a cat, I didn't want a cat, so we compromised she got 2 cats...*sigh*...

Excellent! Ours is 19 this year and still going strong, although she has cataracts forming in her eyes so her distance judgement is a bit off.
...Frankly, I'm not prepared to accept anything but a healthy long lived cat. Nope. No other such existence is allowed. So when I see numbers like 12 and 13, I ignore them. I much prefer 18 and 20.![]()
And if you die undiscovered, they will do you the honor of devouring your remains.![]()
