How many US Presidents

I figured the most recognizable American presidents of the pre-FDR era would be Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln, and Roosevelt because of Mount Rushmore.

I only got 21 - I'm a little embarrassed that I missed Truman and Wilson. In my defense, I'm at that age where my eyes are starting to get worse and those pictures are a bit on the small side.

I recognize about a quarter of them: Washington, Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt, Taft (honestly, I dunno why: he just has a funny face), FDR, and everyone from Kennedy to Obama.

On the other hand, I would recognize only a quarter of Italian PM since 1861 (and half of the Kings of Italy / Presidents of the Republic), so I don't think I fared particularly bad in American history. :D

I'll take the test later, but I'd hopefully get way more than half, if not two thirds. I'll get all the Founding Fathers and everybody in the 20th Century; there will likely be a few in the middle that I'll miss, though.

Only 10, the obvious ones. But we didn't cover US history at school or college, and I have not studied it independently either since.

I didn't take the quiz because there were only 9 faces on that page that I recognized. As an American, I'm kind of embarrassed, but it's not my fault we never learned about the US Presidents in school!

I got most of them ... I would do better if the quiz had a picture of each President's tomb, since I've been to quite a few of them. And no, not because the text would be on them. That's easy enough to wipe out.

Well, you did have a lot of Prime Ministers. :p But it's similar with me. I don't even know the names of most of the German Chancellors before 1949, much less their faces. There are only very few Presidents but I probably wouldn't recognise all of them, either.

Right back Rossevelt was simple enough but then it's a total blank i'm ashamed to say, with only a few more i can name off the top of my head, Lincon, Washington, Grant, Jefferson.

And that's it.:(

Ain't that the truth.

I remember the names of a few Prime Ministers on the Kingdom of Italy because they have a buttload of city streets named after them; but their faces, not so much. (Exception is Camillo Benso, Count of Cavour, the very first PM of the unified Italy and a personal hero of mine). As for the Kings and later Presidents, I know their names and history, but I can only identify with certainty the faces of the Presidents that have been elected in my lifetime.

I recognised only 9 of them, all recent except Lincoln. I Recognised the face of the "world wars president" but couldn't remember the name at the moment of the test.
I guess I'm too "insular" ;)
