How many seasons do you think Sons of Anarchy should run for?

According to one of its creators, the plan is for the show to run for seven seasons if FX allows it. But I think that's a bit too long.

I was thinking it would be interesting if the show ran for five seasons concerning that Hamlet which the show is kind of based on was a five-act play.

What do you think?

Now that they've backed off the Clay vs Jax showdown implied in the S1 finale, I'd say four seasons maybe. The story is so obviously headed for a single event (Jax finds out the truth about his dad's death and then whammo) that it would be frustrating to drag it out too long. It's a great show and I wouldn't want it to end prematurely, so four seasons seems right to me. Five, tops.

I wonder if they'll stay true to the source material and kill off the entire cast in the final episode?

I think they may be bold enough to do it but I also think they would leave a handful of the show's characters alive to deal with the aftermath of the huge bloodbath.
