How many open questions do we have? (SPOILERS for S6)

I dont believe the Silence blew up the tardis at all, or at least not alone. There is another as yet unseen person(s) involved. Whoever it was would have to expertly know the Tardis and be able to follow it through time and space. My thought is it is Omega working in conjuction with the Silence. Omega was in his antimatter universe when the Timelords were wiped out so he could still be around. I think we have a surprise 'Big Bad' in store for us.

Also, the little girl could have been groomed by the Silence to manifest Omega, in much the same way Omega tryed to manifest into the real universe in 'Arc of Infinity' timelord DNA is key. The Loger Tardis would fit into this as well, Omega had a Tardis in 'Arc of Infinity'. To me, Omega makes the most sense. The 1103 Doctor for some reason needed to sacrifice himself to stop Omega.

True but given his interations with Amy, Rory and River i find it hard to believe. I remember there was rumor of there being 2 doctors the companions would be traveling with one that was actually the bad one and not know it. So....

Also what purpose does it serve to blow up the unverse(s) (the cyberleader said all universes will be deleted)?? When Davros wanted to do a similar thing, it was to make the Daleks the only lifeform, but in PO/BB everything dies? Again, me being on my Omega rant, I say it could have something to do with making the antimatter universe (or realm) into a real universe since all the matter universes were gone..just saying.

Why were they on the run?

If President Nixon was giving them free rein to sort it out why would they need a secret plan they way they did?

If all information on the Silence deletes itself over time why is the solution a solution at all?

How did they remember long enough to plan anything anyway?

But the episode itself doesn't say it was abandoned, it says it crashed three days ago, so either Moffat has decided to change that aspect of it or it is a mistake?

I'm not saying you're wrong, but I don't remember that detail, where was that in the episode?

It's weird I don't know where I've just got that idea from! It's clearly stated in the episode that the ship crashed and that the pilots were killed but the three day bit...???? I've just seen it somewhere while checking but now can't find it.

Also I checked and there *is* a bit where Amy could be looking at a member of the Silence, she looks, looks startled and then looks away and shakes her head.

Edit: It's mentioned in the wikipedia article but I can't find anything in the episode to support that reading.

Oh, that's interesting! I dug through the wikipedia entry's history and found that the reference to the crash happening three days earlier was added by a fellow named Masem on July 11th, at 14:39. There is no source given, so I've challenged this point in the article's discussion page. If no one makes any answering comments, I'll go in and make the appropriate changes and a few other additions myself tomorrow. I suppose it's possible that Masem caught a reference from Confidential or another publication that I missed. Maybe even an earlier draft of the script itself.

I hope not, because then that would mean the majority of River's romance with the Doctor would have been with that one and not the real Doctor, since the "Omega" Doctor is the once who remembers things like Bob the Fish. I think that would really reduce the impact of River, and also call into question things like how she found out the Doctor's real name.

I'm going with the alternate timeline hypothesis for now, since we've seen the Doctor die in such a state before (Turn Left).

To be honest I'm still wondering if 1103 year old Doctor really is that old, we only have his word for it, and so he mentioned Jim the Fish, River mentioned Jim the Fish to the younger him later, so he may just be bullshitting (although there is his line about Jim still building his dam...)

But that doesn't make sense. They had Presidential approval to do what they were doing, as shown by the fact they brought in Nixon at the drop of a hat as a get out of jail free card. And why would they have to run from the Silence because they shot the girl? I mean run to the TARDIS and you can basically do anything.

If Omega does show up and somehow manifests himself, I hope he ends up getting away in the end, like the new paradigm Daleks did.

It gets boring, every time a big bad evil thing shows up, it gets completely defeated and is basically unusable for later on (barring another major resurrection ala the Master).
