There are 1012 people in the US with my name. For my wife and kids, that varies from 190 to 2152. My last name is fairly common, although I've only met one or two people with my last name who aren't relatives.

For my wife, that number is 912. That's not a lot for the whole country, but it did cause a problem for her on a flight once. I don't remember the details exactly, but as I remember, she tried to check in for a flight and was told she had already checked in. There was a bit of confusion for a while before someone figured out that someone else with the same name was on the same flight.
