WARNING: THIS THREAD CONTAINS POOP TALK.
I'm trying to figure out just how unhealthy my colon is. I feel like I have some serious digestive issues, probably due to insufficient amounts of fiber in my diet. I have recently started taking Benefiber a few times a day to try and help.
My friends and I were also up late the other night watching an infomercial for "Dual Action Cleanse," which supposedly cleans out the leftover bile and fecal matter that's stuck in your system. It said we can be carrying up to 20 lbs of extra waste in our systems because we eat so much processed food.
So, a few questions:
How long is your average poop time?
It takes me 15-45 minutes every time. My roommates and I all took fairly long poops, but other people in my life seem to think that this is way too much time, and that my average should be more around 5 minutes.
Have you ever had your colon "cleansed?" How did you do it, and how did it improve your health and digestion?
What do you do to maintain good colon health?
