How is New Orleans in DS9 When it Was Destroyed?

Star Wars

Ensign
New Orleans as I'm sure we all know (for some international readers I guess) was destroyed in 2005.

Is Sisko's Restaurant in another New Orleans (maybe in another state or perhaps a whole nother country like in the Caribbean?)

Or does Star Trek take place in a parallel universe where New Orleans was never destroyed?

Would that be where the timeline was diverged and did this lead to the genetics wars of the 90s (in Star Trek)

Is there ever a explanation in the canon for this inconsistency?

I must be in a parallel universe, because New Orleans is still around in my reality.

I don't remember been ruled by Super-men, but all those rampaging boy bands back in the 90s did suck up a lot of the news.

Maybe you missed an important fact. Star Trek: Deep Space Nine was written and aired before the hurricane.

All right., who stepped on a butterfly while time-traveling and caused Hurricane Katrina?!

star wars, after your 'How do you feel about disney making the new star trek movies?' thread, this is just more of the old 'lol aren't i so random' shtick.

you need to take it to the next level by working in some fish-based puns. :barf:

Maybe he's trying to repeat the success of the "actor who replaced the guy playing Ben Sisko" thread. Gotta work harder than this, SW.

Can't wait until he sees "Indiscretion" and notices Leia's Bounty Hunter disguise from ROTJ. His head will explode.

New Orleans was destroyed?

Because I'm pretty sure I just went last year, had a fantastic shrimp po-boy, bought some weed off a guy with a tattoo of Drew Brees' face on his arm and saw some of the most amazing architecture and historical landmarks in the entire western hemisphere.

I just went on a couple of live web cams and NOLA is still there......unless there is a conspiracy on and someone is forcing false feeds on us....

After New Orleans was destroyed, Mardi Gras celebrations were moved to Quebec, to be more convenient for people on the east coast.
