I apologize for being late to wishing you a "Happy Mother's Day"... but then again I have no control over the duty assignments since my demotion last year.
(I suggest you bring this up with Lt.Commander Hawthrone and/or Lt G next year, if you want a more timely greeting.)
I trust you had a pleasant day, and that Paris & Kim treated you to a nicer dinner than the leola root stew they had Neelix whip up last year in the mess hall.
I know from helping B'Elanna & Seven on their holoprogram last week, that their gift was a bit more risque this year than the Chippendale Dancers the Delaney twins arranged for you 2 years ago. (Although not quite as robust as that ancient Greek action drama I designed for you last year when I was still your Morale Officer.)
Let me take this time to personally thank you for one very special gift you've given us all over the years, despite rank or standing. Despite being tens of thousands of light years away from home, you've made sure that we didn't feel abandoned... that we didn't lose hope, we didn't feel alone. I hope, that on this ship with 150 loyal crew, you realize the reverse is also true.

Hey, that was an interesting article. I think it restated a lot of what we already know about how men and women respond to sex, but the mention of fanfic was pretty interesting indeed!
