^^^^ Plus that song is true. High school NEVER ends. Life is still full of drama.

Ok, what's the deal with the pattern enhancers?

I find that things are even more like high school now than when I actually was in high school (which was about 2 years ago, but still)

Ok, what's the deal with the pattern enhancers?

It started out with a pon farr emergency, and then just escalated... Here are some of the posts, in reverse order (most recent first...I think. Oh hell, this is why we need the Temporal Police!)

Tuvok doing his When Harry Met Sally Meg Ryan impression.

I think I need to have my name changed. For some reason my thoughts are suddenly collected enough to remember I am not twelve, but this was my dad's nickname for me and the only name I could think of. It's still the only name I can think of.

Janeway says: "Leave the pattern enhancers behind."

Join us for our combination Before Dishonor book-burning-and-barbeque-bash this Friday!

OMG!! And patrolled by compressor phaser rifle toting security forces!!!!

I am going to borrow every copy of Before Dishonor in the library system and BURN THEM ALL. To prevent anyone else from the stain of having read it.

FABULOUS FROOT, fabulous!

And are those.. PATTERN ENHANCERS in the front yard?!

 Your words conjured an image in my head. I just had to. I wish you luck on your cleansing of the public libraries! You will do our world a great service!

AND :eek::eek::eek::eek: WHO LEFT THOSE PATTERN ENHANCERS IN THE FRONT YARD

Because it sure wasn't me.

Let down by AMG after she knocked herself out from her chair fall, Janeway considers other options.

I'm detecting a little sexual tension in this thread

I would mention as to whether or not she is physically capable, but...

"Boldly going where no pattern enhancer has gone before..."

Do I write like a male? I've never really looked at my writing style and thought about it in such a way. I've got a new thing to contemplate...

See, this is why I keep coming back. Every day, a new experience.

See, this is why I keep coming back. Every day, a new experience.

Me, too.

A PATTERN ENHANCER?!?!?!?

See?

OH, THE TWISTS AND TURNS THIS THREAD HAS TAKEN IN A SCANT FEW HOURS.

Also, pattern enhancers.

If I had a pon farr emergency

"I'm having a pon farr emergency, I need AMG stat!!"

If I had a pon farr emergency

"I'm having a pon farr emergency, I need AMG stat!!"

THUMP!!

That was the sound of me falling out of my chair.

^^^^ I know. Life is so much more dramatic and a popularity contest after high school. I still live by popularity is an illusion

And I'm still lost. But the pattern enhancers are bad, right? Just so I can have that clarified.

That philosophy works for me.

I wouldn't say they're bad. Rather, when one is in a pon farr emergency and needs something in a pinch...

That's what my momma taught me. My husband is looking at me and shaking his head. Apparently laying claim to a patient is like survival of the fittest in the operating room.

Ok. Got it.

EDIT: Hubby wants me to mention it is nothing absolutely nothing like Grey's Anatomy, but on a slow day at the ER or just period is what he means.

You should play that YouTube video for your husband

Ah!

So...it's more like the hospital I go to, with paperwork and vinyl chairs and Maury on the television in the waiting room to the emergency room?

Yep. Just a regular hospital. But with ABCFamily on TV. He kind of wishes that we lived in a bigger city than the town we live in here in good old NorCal, he's a trauma surgeon and we don't get a lot of huge trauma's so he just stays in the ICU and ER. He could be a OB but chooses to stick to the ER, which is good since they're always short staffed.

And if you live in a town with lots of people on Medi-Cal who go trough the ER because it's cheaper and "easier" it's a really good thing to have doctors there :)

You also live in NorCal?!

And you've got ABC Family on TV? Dang...that's pretty high class.

I live in a county with a fairly large amount of people on Medi-Cal and Medicaid and those who use the ER to take care of fairly serious injuries (and who are commonly accused of being "illegal immigrants", but I haven't seen any proof put forward).

Yep. Redding. I swore I would be out of this town by the time I was twenty. So much for that.

I think we had Oprah once, in the sonogram waiting room.

Think Fair Haven, only a little more do it yourself.

Redding's not too bad...not as bad as where I am. The freeway (Interstate 80 runs right through and divides my city in half. Richmond, San Pablo and Oakland are all within 5-15 minutes, roughly, and so we get quite a bit of spillover from them).

And every time I watch a ST:XI youtube I just want to watch that wonderful movie all over again. That movie made me extremely happy :techman:

Doesn't it? I was so sick last night and I popped in that movie got my hubby to just cuddle with me and watch it and I felt so much better. Was still so hot that I was freezing inside, but seeing Nimoy, Chris Pine, and Quinto made it all so much better.

Oh, and the fact that my hubby was actually awake for once with me and Liam slept through the night for the second time in two days.

I'll still say it was ST:XI, even if I'm being tortured to claim it could have been then, I'll swear to my grave it was Trek.

Which leads me to:
"THERE ARE FOUR LIGHTS"
505148564.jpg

Of course it was Trek! It was so lovingly done as a respectful reboot I was just in awe. Just ignore the naysayers. Remember people trashed DS9 because it was "too dark" and "Roddenberry wouldn't like it" and people trashed VOY because it wasn't like DS9 and people trashed ENT because they saw a handful of first season eps and found it dull and apparently people trashed TNG because it was not TOS.

I think I'm very lucky to be omnivorous in my Trek love. It gives me a LOT more Trek than some poor souls huddled over their TOS vhs's muttering imprecations at the TOS-R 'splosions being "wrong".

Oh was I ever happy . . . At first. But after I came home it was like being stuck there all over again. :(

Redding's pretty bad. It's nice to visit but after living here my whole life, ugh . . . But you live down there. At least you get snow probably. I'd love for it to snow at least once, it snows in Phoenix more than it snows here. Lame.

Don't you just love this state?

You guys are making me jealous, I want to live in CA. I have only visited there but I often miss it.

Where do you live?

Only on Mount Diablo/Mount Ronald Reagan and Mount Tamalpais

Don't you just love this state?

Sometimes.

I do believe she lives in Australia...
