I'm just going to leave this here and wait to see what folks have to say about it.

He's a little old for her, isn't he? :p

Just remember folks, her first Warehouse 13 ep is next week! :bolian:

ETA: My good manners keeps me from saying what I THINK :alienblush: you want me to say, Possum. :rommie:

And to think you laughed at me for noticing electrical outlets. I'm pleased to see you have been working on your skill at noticing small but interesting details in photographs. *evil grin*

ETA: OMG, there's a guy in this photo!!! How did I overlook THAT?

I DIDN'T notice until I had posted, that's when I :alienblush:.

So today I'm having coffee with the Janeway hater and her husband.. and he asks me about the convention. I am all about Trekkie Pride so I launch into a humorous, enthusiastic rave about how great the whole event was and what a great speaker Kate Mulgrew is. I can see he has some question he's been hoping to ask, that his "how was the convention" was only a lead up to so I cut my descriptions short. He has a little "these lunatics" chuckle into his latte and says, "So, Kate Mulgrew.. is her voice still all gravelly like on the show?"

I just stare at him and say as though correcting a child, "The word is not gravelly, it's sultry. Sultry, sultry, sultry."

And that's the end of that conversation.

You should have just dropped your voice a few octaves, stared deeply into his eyes and breathed.... "Yessssss. Thank god!"

You know, I have never understood people who smirk at Trekkies. Why is it OK to laugh at our hobby? Can you imagine how rude people would call me if I made fun of someone who builds model railroads, or collects baseball cards, or knits or whatever? But OH, HO, you like Star Trek?!?!?! Hahaha, LOSER, you must live in your mama's basement!!

Do any of you have a Janeway doll? I had a Data doll at one time...I could be cool and call it an action figure...but it really was a doll.

For those of us who missed the last Adult Swim NTSFSDSUV ep that Honey B. posted, since its been "removed".

http://video.adultswim.com/ntsfsdsuv/rats-of-the-sea.html

That's what I forgot to do . . . LibbyKim took them off of her YouTube since the Captains documentary had been removed and she didn't want her account to get into any more trouble.

Cannot..watch .. in australia... going to die..

I'll upload them

Good comeback, as for your friend :klingon:

Hobby?

If I am a fan of the Braves, is that a hobby?

Hobby implies some sort of skill-related craft or activity. I agree that there are a lot of Trek-related hobbies (cosplay, modeling, fanfics, learning to speak Kilngonese, etc.), but it seems odd to say that appreciating a fiction franchise itself is a hobby. Just sounds kind of odd.
