How is Janeway sexy?

This is what irritates me so much about the way the books have taken Janeway out of the Voyager relaunch. Why do that? Don't they understand that Janeway is an icon for the female readers. Let the male fans have TOS, TNG, DS9, ENT. Let the women enjoy reading about Trek's most powerful and admirable women. That's what we want!

Yes!! Why do we have pages and pages of authors and naysayers trying to tell us we need to want to read how her DEATH resulted in character development for everyone else? Why do we get told ad nauseum that there are NEW women we should admire instead (people we have zero attachment to because they are only in the books)? Why is this simple thing, JANEWAY, ICON TO WOMEN READERS just dismissed as if it were fanaticism?

I loved reading about your Kate experiences, Teacake and Sadara! Wonderful pictures! I can't wait for DragonCon in two weeks.

Teacake, after talking about how you were dressing for her, I think I'm going to have to go shopping for something nice to wear and some perfume (I never wear any since I live with my parents and my mom's allergic).

Perfume is optional sweetie. Kate wouldn't want your Mom to suffer for her. Plus it allows you to notice HER perfume all the more. :rommie: IIRC, Vas2009 did just that (Notice Mulgrew's perfume) when she saw her at the Hartford Stage last fall.

As for dressing for "her"... ;) in the end we are all dressing for ourselves cuz we want to look good when we are standing next to her. :bolian:

Yes Teackae - lets kill off Picard so it can result in character development for everyone else in TNG!! Oh and people can admire the new men that replace him!

That argument just doesn't wash - just imagine the uproad if Picard was killed off and replaced by a new person "to admire".

Oh yes indeed henbane! Beverly's been a bit wan lately.. she needs Picard to die. That will kick her into some awesome character development. And you know, it's bound to be good for Riker too, his mentor kicking the bucket like that. Get him out of his rut. We can replace Picard with some mysterious dude named Sha Ka Ree or something similarly fetching. Everyone will look up to Sha Ka Ree because we all know how Picard's character was at the end of the line, there was nothing more to be done with him. The new dude will be just perfect!

I want to go to a Con so badly, I have watched several on Youtube and she is just so funny in them! She has real comedian side to her, she generally makes me laugh, I just can't get enough of her. But damn, Kate Mulgrew is never gonna come to New Zealand...I live in the Delta Quadrant.

Possum this is for you.. at the lunch when Tim Russ came and sat at our table people tried to talk to him about tv shows. He said he didn't watch fiction, he had only watched documentaries for years, he LOVES documentaries and watches them all the time. But then he did say there was one fiction show he did watch and that was.. DR. WHO. So of course I asked him if there was any chance he could be on an episode of Dr. Who. He said that the union stuff meant that they would have to fly him to the UK first class and other expensive things and for one episode they might not want to import him but that if they asked he would love to be on it.

OMG Tim Russ on Doctor Who. I would just pass out from joy!!!

"STOP EVERYTHING.. I want to applaud this woman!" And she did!!! And THEN after the pic with the kids she said, "lets have one of just us, this photo is on me!" So I had a photo with just Kate courtesy of Kate!!

Teacake! I am so happy for you!

Shortly afterwards a drink arrived, a drink which looked exactly like a Gin Rickey. Now maybe this was just soda water and lime, but I DO NOT THINK SO especially as there was no wine or anything at the lunch (phooey on that) and it was certainly the perfect time to have a drink in that setting.

OK, really, how did you not crack up laughing? I would have made a total fool of myself! GIN RICKEY!!!!

Thank you for writing us such a nice, detailed report! I am really glad you got the chance to meet her.

Well if she was wearing #5 it was the smallest dab of the parfum. I can detect those adelhydes if they've even passed through a room. I would have loved to have asked her.

NEXT TIME I WILL!
