How I Met Your Mother, by Tom Paris

JirinPanthosa

Tom and B'elana's child is getting old enough to be curious and ask questions. Hard questions, like "You mean Mommy used to be a terrorist?" and "Why wasn't Uncle Harry ever promoted?" and "Why did you go to prison Daddy?" and "What was it like being assimilated? Does Mommy still have any implants like Auntie Seven does?" and "Mommy tried to change my DNA to make me look less Klingon?"

Luckily, Tom has prepared a holo-novel explaining to his teenage daughter how he met her mother. How does one chapter of this go?

I think it's very similar to the actual show Voyager, only Tom and B'elana are always the ones to save the day. When Tom nobly tries to save the water sphere he is cruelly punished by crushing cold hearted regulation.

There's a novel idea... ST:V - HIMYM:

In the pilot episode, Harry and Tom get back at Quark. After Quark tried to swindle Harry into buying Lobai crystals, they sneak into his bar after-hours, and steal a blue trombone from the wall.

That trombone has a very funny story kids, once Q brings Commander Riker on board, but we'll talk about that later... for now...

They are nearly caught by Odo, but Rom, Nog, and Leeta - whom they had befriended earlier - believe Quark deserves it, and manage to keep the Constable occupied long enough to escape.

Once Voyager is finally on its way to the badlands, Tom tries to use it to impress helmswoman Stadi. It doesn't work, and Harry's too afraid to be caught with stolen merchanise in his quarters, so it ends up on dad's wall.

Ya see kids, sometimes when we try too hard to impress someone, we end up just pushing them further away...

Well, since Miral seems to have inherited the quick temper of her mother, not sure that she wouldn't have already destroyed some of the holo-novels made by his father, during one of her first big tantrums! <grin>
