I won't be drinking much more, just switching from beer to other things like wine, brandy, and Bailey's. The amount is about the same though.
I don't drink to get drunk. I drink because I love a nice glass of wine or cold beer. The drunk part comes from having to much, which is just a natural part of the holidays. If you could get drunk off of sugar cookies or my mom's amazing cranberry sauce or my grandmother's homemade yeast rolls, I would be.![]()
What's wrong with that? Getting drunk with your friends is one thing, getting drunk in front of Grandma and Great Aunt Maud is quite another.

I'm curious. When you're drunk, do you know you're drunk?
I rarely drink enough at one time to even admit the possibility, but there have been a couple of occasions where I wasn't planning to drive anytime soon, and I was thirsty, and there was nothing but cans of cheap beer available. I had a few. Hated the taste, but it was better than nothing. I don't recall feeling any different though.

Since I choose to not drink, my holidays are not drunk ones. I still manage to have a good time anyway.![]()
