Threshold is also underrated. It looks better through the bottom of a pint of beer.
I was gonna say a bottle of vodka.

It may not be " working out " but walking is probably one of, if not the best, exercises a person can do, it is low impact and high results over time, plus it will add to her stamina and cardio health.
Allow me to second (or third?) this. I used to walk around 3 1/2 miles each way to work until my job relocated. I now drive to work instead; trying to make up for that lost exercise is difficult as I now actually have to watch more of what I eat!
Isn't that what Janeway said about Paris?"Spock's Brain" is underrated. Or looks better in retrospect. Or something. Why am I regretting this already?
Obviously I am insane though, I like "Threshold" and "Spock's Brain"![]()

"Spock's Brain" is underrated. Or looks better in retrospect. Or something. If you can make it permanent, you'll do well here. Welcome to the BBS.![]()

Welcome, welcome, thrice welcome, Ashlynn (and yes, you too can come up with a werid name to hide behind later.).
While I'm male and in my 50s, what I went through in high school and (trust me on this) a lot of us went through, is where you are. It does get easier. It really does. Hell, I never kissed a girl at school, I wasn't too bad looking or too heavy, but the smart thing, well... in Australia we have what's called the "tall poppy syndrome" where any poppy that sticks its head above the others is the one that gets cut off. I was one of the smart ones. It wasn't fun. So I made friends outside of school, most of them older than me, people on whom I was more on a mental level with, and that worked. Things ahve changed since then a little too. As one of my favourite TVG characters says, "Age of the Geek, baby!"
College will be brilliant. More than school, it's about who you are and what you can do, not what you look like (and for those who are fashionistas, well, they are only there for a husband, I saw that close up too, so they're not worth your time).
Here, we don't care who you see in the mirror. We care about your words. So far, you have made an excellent start. You've shown you're funny, warm, witty and have excellent taste in sisters, as well as giving up Twilight, a very big plus for me.
Want something to read? Discworld. Nothing better. Start with the Witches series-with-a-series, and immediately follow with the Tiffany Aching series-within-a-series, which is about a girl growing up, with a few extra burdens. You'll see what I mean. Your library should have them. And then there's the rest of the series, which is just so good. You'll wonder why you read Stephanie Meyer. Or, as far as I'm concerned (thought a few will disagree with me) Rowling. So there.
But don't go to TNZ, it is the most wretched hive of scum and villainy on this side of the galaxy.
Retrospect IMO.
It was just

Nonononono! The three to read (by Terry Pratchett) are Wyrd Sisters, Witches Abroad, and Lords and Ladies. These are followed by Masquerade and Carpe Jugulum, but if I was you I'd then read something else in the series, like Mort or Guards! Guards!Isn't Witches the one where her parents and best friend die in the beginning and she goes to live with her aunt and cousins?
"A squint looks good on a witch,” said Granny Weatherwax.
“But you have to know how to use it,” said Nanny Ogg. “Old Gertie Simmons used to have a squint and she was always putting the evil influence on the end of her own nose. We can’t have people thinkin' that if you upsets a witch she curses and mutters and then her own nose drops off.”
