How do Voyager fans feel about DS9?

It's kind of odd for me. I think that DS9 may actually have been a better series, in terms of consistency and character development, than VOY was -- and yet, somehow I never really warmed to it. The only reason I watched as much of DS9 as I did was that my husband, a regular viewer, would let me know when there was an episode he thought I might like, so that I could catch it on a later showing. I think my problem was I never really engaged with any of the characters on DS9. On VOY I immediately developed interest in Janeway, Chakotay, Torres, and Paris, and that kept me watching even when other aspects of the show frustrated me.

And just to add my two cents if this one has come up, there's absolutely nothing like VOY in my book. That show has a heart and soul that's missing form everything I've ever seen (and in all probability I ever will).

Having said that I have also come to like DS9 over several years. If for nothing else, then the father-son relationship is beautiful.

I'm definitely not a Trek fan because most shows bore me. TNG is ... meh ... and don't get me started on ENT. Worst show ever. Going by the few episodes I've seen of TOS so far, that can't be a bad show. But the pain of having to watch a character take 20 seconds just to look left and than another 20 seconds to turn back ... It's excruciating ...

So yeah, if not VOY, then DS9. It's definitely in the (distant) second place on my list of Trek series. If only Captain Sisko had occasionally applied some volume control ... I seriously have to use my remote control in some of the scenes he is in ...
