How do they get live video feeds on away missions?

I imagine this is how they get the footage:

I think by then visual footage is out dated.
They get temperature, atmospheric compound mixtures, physical dimensions, physical compound mixtures, life sign readings and probably a plethora of other information that I can't remember right now, visual images seems like it would be a
Distraction.

Well, that's how viewscreens work. They aren't actually looking at a camera feed, but the result of sensor data. Maybe they could see cloaked ships if they just looked out the window... If it's close enough.

Aliens, and 2010: The Year We Make Contact (for that matter the Apollo and Skylab programs) should have made constant bio-telemetry from EVA teams, as well as constant camera feeds just something TNG writers and beyond should have assumed. But writers don't always adapt to the latest circumstances, especially if it complicates a script that has to be on on deadline.
