How could they have made DISC fit in more with THE CAGE?

It just seems like a very peculiar thing to be in the data, especially when you have to work under the assumption that the entire thing was kept very secret in order for the universe to unfold the same way. Also, why would that quantum signature even be a big deal a century later that it would be included in a Klingon memory core?

A lot of tap dancing has to be done...
It was a Vulcan memory crystal.

Remember T'Pol stole the data.

It was a Vulcan memory crystal.

It still doesn't make a lot of sense. It would seem the first thing that would be hidden and kept hidden was the origin of the technology. A century later, after tech has caught up, there'd be no reason to do a quantum scan. Defiant would just be another ship. We see that as the Empress has abandoned it for better digs.

But until they do I taking them at their word that it is prime.
Yeah, and I can talk about how freakishly attractive I am and how I score with plenty of fine looking women who put out like broken machines. It's not true, but you know, I said it, so it must mean something, right?
They pure up show on screen ( one a tablet) that the events of In a mirror darkly Happened in this MU. They also Reference The Thorin web, and pure up state its the same ship and same reality as the ship in both those episodes.
These same events can happen in more than one reality. There is nothing that states 100% conclusively that it is definitely the same. Do they actually show the quantum signature on screen? Have they ever shown the quantum signature of the Prime Universe? Until you show me they have, there is nothing further to say on this matter.

They might get the benefit of the doubt, if they hadn't went out of their way to change so much else.

Those are not remotely the same situations.

The people working on the show saying it is the same universe plus the onscreen evidence makes it the same.

They convinced me it was a reboot when they decided to use rank pips instead of rank braids, and changed the numbers to match the 24th century version.
You’d feel different if they used industrial rubber bands spray painted silver and sewn on uniforms made from upholstery liner, you would.

I love "The Cage". I love TOS. That having been said, fitting DSC together with TOS is sort of like fitting Mad Men together with Breaking Bad.

I'm all about suspension of disbelief and making things work but, passed a certain point, I can't. It's easier to just say the visuals are a reboot but the story isn't.

I like DSC the way it is.
