How come we never discuss Naruto Shippuuden?

I'm surprised that we never discussed for each episodes of Naruto Shippuuden! We should be able to discussing whatever we likes to, but perhaps you're not big fan of Naruto Shippuuden, let alone bleach anime series that is too popular to talking about it, to me, I don't see how we could have that same discussion about Naruto Shippuuden.

Hmm, didn't really understand your post but going off the title of the thread-
I have no interest in manga/anime whatsoever.

There are plenty of anime admirers around here - I notice this because like Mistral and RoJo, I am not one. It has sometimes seemed to me that I'm the only one, but apparently that isn't the case.

So hang around, Admiral - I am sure somebody will be along pretty soon to join you in enjoying whatever it is that you anime/manga folks do enjoy. ;)

I know I've seen the word Naruto, not that I know anything of it, then I saw the word Shippuuden and was not sure I knew what I thought I did.

Not a manga/anime fan obviously.

Although a friend had me watch something called Vampire Hunter D, which I think was manga, and it was pretty good.

I like Japanese animation. but I've never watched Naruto or Bleach. To me, Uchuu Senkan Yamato still rules the day. I guess I'm just old.

I don't there there was much talk of the original Naruto series here, IIRC. Even when it was airing on Cartoon Network, I don't recall there being a single talkback thread the entire time...believe it.

Well, as one of the resident anime fans around here, the reason why I don't discuss Naruto is the same reason why I don't talk about Bleach. I find it to be mind numbingly boring and annoying :p

Im not much of a shonen action fan lol

Because it's a stupid shonen cartoon that should only appeal to children and people who didn't get all of the life lessons they could have out of Dragonball and Pokemon.

It's popular, but it's totally unoriginal and uninspiring to anyone who's watched any amount of anime at all in their lives. I hardly like anime at all and even I can see how derivative and stupid it is.

On the bright side, you got the discussion you wanted.

My brother is going to make me watch "Avatar: The Last Airbender." So, um...anime? Am I contributing?

^Not anime. It's an American production for Nickelodeon. The art style is superficially "anime" looking, and it has an Asian influence, but the story and characters are very much unlike most of the anime I've seen. Hard to explain, but a lot of the stuff that is culturally from Japan and written by Japanese creators and writers has a very distinct feel to it that I think their own personal cultures imprinted on them. That would be true in any culture.

Better than 95% of the anime series I've seen though. My wife loves it and I can't think of another cartoon that she enjoys. Oh, she did like Batman TAS when we watched some episodes but she didn't ask to watch it like she did when we were going through Avatar.

How about Digimon? I used to love Digimon!

Yes! I totally win.

It was shitty after season 2, though...when the rules of the universe completely changed and for some reason the digimon turned into playing cards or something.
