to star trek? she's always trying to tell me that star wars is better, but i refuse to ever watch anything star wars. ever. i mean, wizards in space? thats rediculous!!! right? anyway, its starting to get out of hand. last week she invited me over to watch the new discovery episode. so right off the bat i started to suspect something not quite right. there was this guy all in black and funny looking helmet and talked like a robot or something, and i was like, who is this guy? i dont remember him being introduced in the series at all yet. and my sister says that its another survivor from the shenzhou, who was injured so badly he needed to wear that suit as life support, and im like yeah ok, that checks out. but then i notice that the ship theyre on is not the discovery at all, so my sister said thats because theyre on a space station in this episode, and again, it made sense and i went with it. but then the guy in black whipped out some kind of laser sword thingy and then i was finally like wtf?!? that technology is definitely not star trek canon! wtf is going on here? and my sister said bam! i got you motherf----r! you just watched star wars! and i am soooooo mad!!! thats 5 minutes i will never unsee!!! i dont know if i will ever be able to forgive her for that!
my question is, what do you all think is the very best magnum opus episode of star trek ever made that i can tie my sister to a chair and force her to watch that will finally convert her to the trek side and give up star wars forever?
