How Are You Getting Ready?

Just curious how people are getting ready for the new movie. Me, I'm having some friends over the weekend before and we are watching a bunch of TOS episodes. Probably Balance of Terror and some first season gems, with maybe Spock's Brain thrown in to sauce the goose.

Coordinating with my closest friends to see it together. And buying toys and trinkets at retailers and in cereal boxes so I have memorabilia from the film.

Well, just trying to get my mates to see it.

Thats about it really, oh and collecting posters for some nice momento bounty.;)

Oh , and constantly watching the trailers and clips, loking at the pics, reading the interviews, watching the trailers again, watching TOS episodes that i have watched thousands of times, popping in here etc etc...

Oh, and im dressing up as Fat Shat in an ill fitting TOS uniform and perm wig just to piss the fans off.:techman:

Rescheduling work committments to either go to the midnigth premiere and take friday off or get off early friday and hit the afternoon matinee with the wife.

Nothing special, just going to see it on opening night, probably by myself since I have no friends

I am watching all of my TOS episodes and I just bought the playmates Enterprise model of the new ship.

No special preparations required...

I have already assembled the team of friends that will come with me (I'm the only Trek fan from my group of friends).
We are booking tickets online a few days before we go see it and that's about it... perhaps I'll soon rewatch a few of my favorite TOS episodes too.

Let the games begin.

I'm burning every TOS dvd I can get my hands on, and then dancing around the fire naked with a 'J' painted on my chest and another 'J' painted on my back.

Trying to get a hold of over-18 midnight screening tickets to avoid it being ruined by little kids. No more Return of the King finale ruiner moments for me...

Reminding all the "mundanes" I know that a new Star Trek movie exists, is coming out soon, will not suck like the others did, and doesn't involve the boring old bald guy from the Wolverine movie.

And telling them not to watch the Wolverine movie.

Those aren't friends that you need.
