How about a Klingon "Game of Thrones" type of Trek series?

Gateways. Set in the late 20th century, the USAF discovers an Iconian gateway in Egypt and sends a team through including a soldier, an archaeologist, and a scientist. Later, they'll be joined by an ex-Iconian warrior who rejects the Iconians as gods.

Can we give the Klingons a sabbatical? I would much rather have a political hightened/intrigue Romulan series.

The TNG episodes featuring the Klingons and their political in-fighting (which are the closest thing to “Star Trek: Game of Thrones”) are among my least favorite episodes of the entire franchise.

I agree but if we actually get distinct houses and unique variation among them I would be more open to it.

Klingons bore me to tears usually
All that honour stuff and ancient tradition, it's tedious
Hated Klingon episodes of TNG, DS9 and Voyager (although I like TOS non cranial ridged Klingons)
Worf is an absolute douche, ditto B'Elana Torres
However, Discovery made the Klingons interesting, but not interesting enough for their own show.
A big NO from me.

Klingons are best in Trek when they appear sparingly. A whole series about them would get old fast.
