House ends with this season

It never ceases to amaze me how entitled fans of a particular TV show (or movie, book, etc.) can be.

Come on, people. It's a job. Maybe they don't want her to come back, and/or she doesn't want to come back. It could be for any reason, not necessarily to do with money. But to suggest that she should just "suck it up" if her motives aren't financial speaks to a level of audience entitlement I see around here far too often. Lisa Edelstein doesn't have to do anything she doesn't want to do, whether it's about the money or something else.

Seems she's not appearing in this final season of House. I guess people will just have to get over it, somehow.

Yeah, some closure on her character would be nice, but I sure wouldn't lose any sleep over it, nor would I suggest she "take one for the team" just to placate me. Good lord. It's only TV, folks. It's not that important.

I wouldn't have put it quite so harshly, but I agree with Robert. If an actor decides to move on for whatever reason, that's their choice. Ultimately what they do is to serve the good of their own careers and livelihood, not to cater to every whim of their audience. And if they feel their careers are best served by not returning to a former series role, that's their right.

Very true. At the end of the day it's a job. If they don't want to do it anymore and have the opportunity to do something else then it's natural to want to leave. Same goes for any job.

With that said I haven't missed her presence on the show and felt that it got on rather well without her.

Last night, I saw what I thought was a promo for House, but realized that it was a commercial. Hugh Laurie is one of the new faces for L'Oreal Paris and has been since last summer, but I only just found out.

Because he's worth it:
