House ends with this season

I love this show.

I am sickened at the thought of Terra Nova dancing on it's grave.

Even if House gets eaten by a T-Rex in the final episode? From what I've heard of the guy, it would be the most appropriate ending for him. ;)

PS, my hunch is Terra Nova is dino chow in any case.

The show is such a disaster it's a complete car crash. This is much needed and should have been announced months ago.

As much as I still love the show, I admit it's time for it to end. This decision isn't surprising and I'm happy that Shore is given the opportunity to give the show a proper conclusion (and perhaps bring back Cuddy? The rumor mill starts here!).

He has to die.

Therefore his ghost can call them idiots as they autopsy him...

But then angels can It's a wonderful life him in reverse about how everyone would be so fricking happy without him in their lives.

Lisa is probably smiling, assuming that the show couldn't survive with out her.

A nice ego boost.

I'll always hold the first three seasons of this show is extremely high regard, and five and six were pretty watchable. It's just time to go.

Hugh has the opportunity to find a job with a different accent.

that has to be such a magnificent release on him.

It's been 7 years, in all likely hood, he's been stuck with an inferior accent he can best and lap quite easily for the past few years at least...

His final patient...

"Edmund Blackadder."

Don't think this has anything to do with ratings. More to do with Hugh repeatedly saying he was finished after season 8.

Seems we all expect House to die. I expect his lovechild to turn up and for Moriarty and Cuddy to return too.

Recently Hugh Laurie talked about maybe being one to a 9th season. Which I thought was funny considering everything he had said.

Am I wrong to hope for a Thirteen return and a House/Cuddy reunion in the finale? I'm ready for it to be over but I really would love for those two even if they are unlikely.

I think a Cuddy return is unlikely for real-world reasons, but I'm hoping Olivia Wilde's schedule will allow us to get some degree of closure for Thirteen's arc. Indeed, if House kept his promise to euthanize her when her Huntington's began to flare up, that could well be the catalyst for the series finale in one way or another.

Olivia Wilde said awhile back that if this did turn out to be House's last season she would make one final appearance.

Jennifer Morrison has said that she would love to make an appearance as well, if it can be fit in with her OUAT schedule.

And Lisa Edelstein as far as I know has been completely quiet on the subject. But if I were a betting man I would wager she will be back for an episode. I think the bad blood between her and the House showrunners is largely overstated. Put enough zeros on a check and a chance to get some closure on a character she felt deeply about, and it will happen.

The far more interesting question to me is how you end a show and character like House. Give him a happy ending? Kill him? Make him move on from PPH? Send him back to prison? Or leave him exactly as he is?

If you change House, it is going to possibly come off feeling fake. After eight years of some pretty heavy events, and suddenly he changes his ways? Yet if you leave House as House where is the ending? I know I want to see him find some happiness, but I don't want it to feel unearned or fake.

Oh no.

We can see him euthanizing 13. But what if he has to put the rest of them out of their misery too? The clock skips forward 10 or 15 years between ad-breaks and House is increasing the morphine drip of another member of this team.

Killing him is one way to go, but I think House burying everyone else is the better choice.

House is House, regardless of where he is and my instinct tells me that's what's going to happen. Although, I wouldn't mind placing a small bet that in the finale, House is forced to amputated his own leg, has a last minute epiphany and joins Doctors Without Borders in Tibet (or somehow joins a monestary in Tibet).

I think House should end with House taking an assumed name, something like Sigerson, and he becomes a pianist in a blues club in New Orleans.

House should die.

It would be the only way it makes sense to bring everyone back to the show.

Plus then they could always do a spinoff in the same hospital. :)
