House ends with this season

It’s the end of the road for veteran medical drama House, which will bow out after the end of its current eighth season on Fox. The network has granted creator David Shore’s wish for an early decision to allow him to give the series and its characters a proper ending. The move opens the door for renewal of another Fox drama in need of an early verdict, freshman Terra Nova.

I never watched this series but I assume some folks will want to know. And it might increase the odds of a renewal for Terra Nova, tho maybe FOX should just greenlight one more pilot instead.

I knew this was going to happen. I had this feeling that this season was the end and that there wasn't going to be a ninth season. I was just waiting for the official news to hit.

I wonder how David Shore is going to end the show. I hope they bring back Cuddy for the series finale.

Not surprising, again, since they'd have to recontract Hugh Laurie which they'd probably have to move Heaven and Earth to do. I'm fine with the series ending so long as it's done reasonably right.

Now they just need to bring on the ripsnortin', be all end all of cadaver launching, pillpopping, cane breaking, Wilson practical joking, house wrecking finales!

I figured this was probably gonna be announced soon, that and/or The Office is ending.

The only thing I kind sorta hope for would be a cameo appearance by Stephen Fry before the show ends, but it's probably already too late for that. I wonder he never was a guest on the show. Oh well.

These losers realize that Hugh Laurie probably wants out right? They should spend their time trying to save a show that hasn't gotten eight seasons already.

I think the show should end with House quitting his job to search for something more in his life. Maybe the consequences of the incident with Chase and House's guilt about it could lead to that outcome.
