From TV.com:

A man takes over Cuddy's office and holds House, Thirteen, and several patients hostage. His demand? A diagnosis. The man forces Thirteen to act as a guinea pig for his treatments and House has to end the standoff before a SWAT team opens fire.

It could either be really cool, or too obviously a stunt to boost ratings.

Of course, it could be both. :)

Since when was ER on Tuesdays?

I think EVERYONE will die, however then next week's episode they are all cloned and everyone acts like nothing happened! :)

I'm not really on board with the whole "Thirteen as Guinea Pig" thing...it would have been better if it had been one of the guys. It's clear it's another "let's victimize the woman" kind of thing, and that's just frustrating. Not to mention, Thirteen has a great storyline this year with the emotional fallout of her Huntington's diagnosis. One of the guys could have really used this storyline.

That being said, I am curious about the ep. It's supposedly 68 minutes long, so make sure your TiVOs don't cut off the end of it!

I would hope that being scheduled to be this long TiVos and TiFauxs will do it automaticlly.

Our TiVO always cuts off the usual one minute overrun. :( I hate overruns--I don't see the reason for it, and I get so mad when the end of an episode is cut off. Kind of defeats the purpose of having a TiVO. I always program my VCR/DVD recorder to go over by a few minutes...

My choice would be Kutner. We got a bit of a revelation into his background in "Emancipation". We already know more about Taub than we do him.

That said, I'm not sure I see that promo in the way you do. It probably is a bit of a ratings stunt, given that it uses Olivia Wilde. Even so I'm going to see how the show presents it. She really is an interesting character, and ironically her pending death has given her some cajones in fighting back with House.

You can't adjust the programming of your recorder to run just a bit longer for the end-time? I forget which episode it was, but ever since an earlier one ran over a few minutes, I've changed the ending time for this series recording to go over about5 minutes or so, jsut in case.

Looking forward to this! It'll be intersting to see how the overrun is going to screw with Fringe. Yeah, I know they're on the same network but I have the CRTC her in Canada and their crazy simulcasting laws to thank for my programming never being certain

In case anyone's using this as a commentary thread as well:

SNAP!

Dude is unhinged! I kinda like him. Not for his unhinged-ness, of course, but because he's a lot like House in his relentless quest for answers. Wonder if that's going to play into this?

Interesting premise, with House in essence interposing himself between the gunman and the other hostages. Interesting given that he was shot himself. I forget the details of that one, though.

13 looks like she has a bit more makeup on, or else her skin has a somewhat different tone form what I recall seeing recently.

Her skin tone looked different to me too. She almost looked hispanic to me.

Interesting episode thus-far.

Now she's lookig rather pale and drawn. Maybe they added the makeup earlier in the ep, to create a more stark contrast with later when she's under the effects of the drug.

Gotta say I like the whole sweater, jeans, boots ensemble on her though. :D

This episode isn't grabbing me the way past ones have. For some reason I don't feel the tension I was expecting.

8:45pm Official time House jumped the shark.

This is the most outrageous episode since the two partner where Foreman had some super rare disease.

Gotta say I like the whole sweater, jeans, boots ensemble on her though. :D

13's hot just like her evil twin Summer Glau

She's not evil.... she's just grown that way.

Top, I'm interested in your opinion to see if you feel your concerns about them using 13 in this role are confirmed.

This week's favorite line:
"Florida counts?"
"Well, not to the Supreme Court."

8:45pm Official time House jumped the shark.
Was that the point where House handed the gun back? Because anyone who didn't see that coming doesn't understand House. He made a deal with the patient -- hand over the gun, and he would do the X-Ray. House handing back the gun was, in my opinion, a matter of honor and the honorable thing to do.
