'Hot Tub TM" THIS is how you do a remake!

Hot Tub Time Machine trailer.

Everyone complains about all the old movies being remade these days.

Well THIS is a great example of how you do it! We were all dreading the eventual 'Back to the Future' remake, right?

Well worry no more! These guys figured out how to do it right. You take the same basic jokes but strip away the characters, setting, and plot. In the end you're left with something that takes advantage of the setup but without ruining your favorite movie from the past.

So by all means, go for it, guys! I don't consider this a rip-off. It's just a remake done right.

Steal concepts, Hollywood. Not characters.

The red band trailer just wasn't as funny (but that's probably not the point of it...), but I'll still want to see this flick, it looks almost like a parody in some areas, while being a comedy in and of it self.

Aside from the kid meeting his mom this doesn't have anything to do with BTTF, conceptually or otherwise...

When I first heard about this, I thought it was just going to be another straight-to-DVD sex comedy like American Pie #22 or Road Trip: Beer Pong. Then I saw John Cusick's name in the credits and I went WTF?

I might not see this in the theatre, but I will admit it's got my attention. Had no idea it was a BTTF remake, though.

Why are people calling this a BTTF remake? The trailer alone suggests that it's anything but. I'd say it's more of a new take/parody on the idea more then a remake.

I have no idea why people are calling this a Back to the Future remake, or why some people are calling Legion a ripoff of Supernatural, or why some people think John Woo stole his style from The Matrix.

That's an homage, not an indication that the film was intended as a remake. IMO.
