It's interesting to see the enthusiasm the new movie is bringing to the fans...(whether it be in a good or bad way).
It sure has this girl excited to what is coming May 2009!
I do have some thoughts too. (And don't worry, I'm not going to write a novel here!
)
Basically: If the Star Trek 'reimagined' film plays as good as it looks, I hope TPTB don't run it into the ground. Make it a strong trilogy, then move on to something else.
One thing that killed--or at least put Star Trek in hiatus--was repitition, and lack of good storytelling.
Maybe another trilogy 'reimagining' the TNG/DS9/VOY era...or another crew altogether? (I know some would be against that, but I hope they treat this new version of a familiar crew well--I think they have potential).
Now bring on the new Trek!
