The guy who ran off the tarmac after grabbing a beer was gutsy.

This girl has done what many of us personal/administrative assistants dream of doing.

Smart. Clever. Cute.

I think I like her take better than the disruption the other guy caused.

I love it. That is nothing short of excellent!

And I wish I had thought of that when I quit the hotel last January. I would have emailed a set of pictures describing to everyone (including the peeps at corporate) how the GM had been stealing money and trying to blame it on the rest of us. I quit because I was tired of playing a secret game of tug-of-war with him over his hiding the evidence. $250,000 is a lot of money and I wasn't about to get blamed for embezzling it because I was number one to take the fall.

The Jet Blue dude knows his career in the airline industry is toast. This girl might have cooked herself: Cute, but letting get online might come back to bite her in the ass; especially in this day and age of people losing jobs over Facebook/MySpace postings.

I have no idea how, but there's got to be a good twist here somewhere. I just don't see it burning her in the same league as the Jet Blue guy.

Not in the same league. What he did was cool it rocked; but like all awesome balance must be kept and for all the rock he's just fucked himself on so many levels that all he'll have left is that one single moment of awesome.

With "Jenny" I can just see it coming back to bite her ass in being able to stay in the same field or working in the same type of position in the future. Especially since she ratted it all out to the whole company and now it's a 'net thing. Call it a trust issue with future employers or being seen as not being able to keep her mouth shut. She'll find work, but I think she's being a little over optimistic; she might have wanted to line up a gig before she burned her bridges. What she did cute, and smart-alecky (sic) in a way, but it's not going to be without a cost as well.

I don't any one is saying she won't, just that she might not get to be as picky as if she had just went out quietly.

And yeah, Jet Blue isn't likely to get a job for a while...at least not one outside the US Penal system. As I said the guy's fucked on many levels, all he'll have is a single moment of awesome and 15 minutes of fame to hold on to out of all this.

Stuff like this is great when other people do it. If it was someone I knew personally, I'd tell them it was a bad idea. It's unprofessional on so many levels and could get her turned down at a lot of places. It's hard to be professional when the people you work with aren't, though.

So, this girl quit her job because she didn't like being objectified, and 90% of the men on this board can't think of anything to say other than to concur with and reiterate the objectification. Nice.

However, I believe she will get a job. Blue guy may not get one for some time.

If she's smart, she can easily parlay this into something much, much better than being some asshole's AA or a broker. Promotions, communications, marketing, something like that. Shit, she could use this in her portfolio for any number of jobs.

The only thing I think she should have done differently is get her prick boss fired instead.
