Hometown Troi

Does Deanna Troi have a hometown, or a region, or a state? Or is it just Betazed?

Spock is from ShiKahr, Sisko from New Orleans, Riker from Valdez, Kirk from Riverside, Sulu from San Fransisco. They all have cities.

McCoy is from south-eastern America, Uhura from Africa, Chekov from Western Russia. They at least have areas.

What about poor little Deanna? And the other characters where do they write their letters home to?

I'm betting if you just wrote "Lwaxana" on an envelope and posted it in any pillar box in the entire universe, it would get to Mrs Troi. She's that epic.

Betazed is a Planet of Hats, so all of its cities are identical.

Her ST.com profile has her born near Lake El-Nar. That's at least better than Worf, Tasha, & Wesley who only have planets of birth. Plenty of Trek characters never get more than a home planet, Jadzia, Hoshi, a fair amount of the Voyager crew

She's a starfleet brat. We don't know exactly how old she was when her father died. They may have moved around quite a bit. Deanna didn't even recognize the representation of the home in that dream Lxawanna had from when she was a baby. Since she surely have seen pictures of herself as a baby taken at "home" yet she didn't recognize it, it's likely they moved around when she was young so she may not have a hometown. Many military brats (unlike me) don't have a childhood hometown.

Not to mention we don't know how long her mother had been Ambassador. They may have even lived on Earth for periods of time when Lwaxanna was doing diplomatic work with the Federation government. There's nothing to suggest Deanna never lived on Earth before entering the Academy.

You're part of a giant federation of planets. It really doesn't make much sense to claim a city of origin during normal conversation (except perhaps if the city is unusually famous or if you're talking to somebody from your own planet).

In the winter she lived at the family townhouse at 1143 C Enlau Boulevard, Xiatra City, Pindara Nation.

In the summer the family would adjourn to Fortinbras Palace in Monatra.
