OMG... last round we lost Heinlein.:eek::eek::eek:

We now have eight of holiest, but only three will make the final trinity.

This round: vote to eliminate one.

Only the most worthy will make it to the next round... so let the excommunication begin.

I voted out Star Wars because I think it's overrated (although I still like it).

I took out Babylon 5 too. While it does have its fans, it's still hasn't reached the level of icon status that others on the list have reached, IMO...

I went with "Star Trek", just to be different. :D

And because I've long felt its self-importance needs to be taken down a peg.

I didn't mean to vote ST off. :( Out of them, if I had read the rules properly first, it would have been down to SW or TZ.

Probably go with TZ because its just a fantasy version of existing narrative tropes. Mind you, it's very, very good at what it is.

I went with Asimov, just because I think he's overrated. He's actually better than Star Wars or Babylno 5 on that list, but I knew they'd get plenty of votes so I wanted to register my dislike of Asimov

I sincerely hope that all the people who voted to get rid of Star Wars misunderstood what they were voting for. :vulcan:

I voted for Doctor Who. Used to be good, now it's all wacky pop culture references, shouting and running around trying to stop the celebrity guest villain of the week from finding the Eye of Xorax or whatever this week's MacGuffin is.

This was tough. I could think of good reasons to eliminate many of the options, including Trek, but Twilight Zone ultimately lost the vote. While the anthology often explored science fiction, The Outer Limits did a better job, and Twilight Zone focused much more heavily on fantasy and supernatural subjects.

It's interesting to see so many votes for Star Wars, and I'm astonished to see Babylon 5 doing just as poorly. But where will this all end? In my opinion, if Wells, Clarke, and Asimov don't take it, folks in these parts just don't get SF.

Wait, we're voting to eliminate? Damnit. You can't change the instructions like that for the third round. I don't suppose there's any way to change your votes, is there?

Hermiod, you do realize that there were celebrity guest stars, shouting and running in almost every episode of classic Who, don't you?

I voted Twilight Zone...not sure why I did that since I understand it's impact on the genre and generally like it. Just thought there were more important options on the board.

Oh *crud*! I accidentally voted to eliminate B5. WHY change the rules for the last round?!? :scream:
