Hole in the moon

They found a big hole on the moon...almost 200 feet accross and about 250 feet deep that they think it might connect to a lava tube tunnel which could be about 1200 feet wide. If so, I think we have a great location for our moon base.
Unless....THERE'S ALREADY ONE THERE! ;)

I am preparing a Carvorite Sphere as we speak in anticipation of exploring this opening in the Earth's celestial partner, Luna. I'll be visiting the Selenites shortly. (*achoo!* Dear me! Is that a COLD coming on?)

I'm guessing that's there's no actual chance of lava ever flowing again. Would be a shame to build a nice little base there and suddenly have Lunar suddenly become more geologically active...

I see what you did there. :)

That was a favourite movie when I was a kid.

and the people saying there's holes to underground alien bases on the moon were laughed at!!!!

And they still are, of course. Obviously this is a Soviet base. I knew they beat us to the moon back in the day, I just didn't realize they stayed there.

Finally, after decades of searching, science has pinpointed the lair of the mighty Moon Worm!

PurpleBuddha,

Isn't there a treaty, I believe it's the 1967 Outer Space treaty that prohibits any nation from building military bases on the moon?
