Yeah, that's pretty much my take on it, too. The final season was particularly woeful.I thought the show got old real fast, then got quite good for a while, then got really bad again.
It's not canceled, it's just moved from Lionsgate to Amazon.
Still not convinced it will happen.
This remake has been on the table far longer than 2021 as stated, they started planning after the source was released.
Yeah, I know. But the remake in its current form is not officially dead, just relocated.

Could more likely see a new series, which I'd be more interested in i think.
Maybe they're going to focus more on Connor's life, so require a lot of period location shoots and major battle scenes with an A list cast.
I know at one point they were talking cinematic universe, and we know they aren't having The Gathering in this movie, so could be a lot of high priced cameos for the period settings with other A, B list stars.
Only thing I can think of to get a budget that huge for what's basically sword fights in a city they call New York with a few period flashbacks.
Beyond embezzlement.
Anyone remember that terrible Robert The Bruce movie that was a semi sequel to Braveheart where they tried to have Montana double as Scotland?
I know at one point they were talking cinematic universe, and we know they aren't having The Gathering in this movie, so could be a lot of high priced cameos for the period settings with other A, B list stars.

I remember years ago reading that he wanted Maximus to have a Spanish accent but Ridley Scott insisted on RP. I’m convinced that he’s taken roles in Thor: L&T, The Pope’s Exorcist and Kraven because they allowed him to make up for it by doing comedy accents.
I'll need to read up more but is Cavill actually playing Connor or some other character?
I don’t know if they’re retaining character names but I think he’s the equivalent of Connor/Lambert and Crowe will be the equivalent of Ramirez/Connery.
