High Rez Screen Caps of trailer (LARGE PHOTOS) Slow speed users beware

Re: High Rez Screen Caps of trailer (LARGE PHOTOS AND A LOT OF THEM)

Joe, is there any way you could do your postings as thumbnails? I hate to look a gift horse in the mouth, but these pages are taking FOREVER to load, and if you're going to be putting THAT many images up, there's no point in us slow system/connection users even bothering to look...

Normally I'd be knocking the images down, or attaching them as thumbnails. But this thread is for huge, crystal clear, pics of the trailer. Says so right in the title. So people with slower connections have been warned. I do understand where you're coming from though. I hate page stretching images too. I edited the title a bit.

It's not page "stretching" that's the problem...it's LOAD time for the page that is giving me fits. I have my download accellerator cranked up high and an image intensive page can still take 5-10 MINUTES to load, if the browser doesn't simply refuse to load it at all (I have the same problem at other sites like Sci-Fi Meshes where the pages are graphics intensive)...

It is true though, fair warning has been given.

Perhaps JoeRalat might be able to provide a link to a gallery of thumbnails for these caps, or maybe e-mail/PM it to you. Couldn't hurt to ask, anyway.

Re: High Rez Screen Caps of trailer (LARGE PHOTOS) Slow speed users be

:techman:Browsing the caption thread, i noticed what appears to be Kirk and McCoy standing in the fore-ground on the left.

Has this been picked up before now? if so ive missed it, but found it pretty cool that i found it myself, a bit late but never mind.

Its definately them.

A bit of a late one here, needed the right thread to post it instead of posting a new thread.

Re: High Rez Screen Caps of trailer (LARGE PHOTOS) Slow speed users be

I don't recall whether I've seen it mentioned, but I was pretty sure that I saw Kirk at the left (below the open shuttle hatch) and McCoy to his right and slightly forward (below the nose of the shuttle.)

Edit:

I'm betting the woman we see seated behind Kirk and McCoy in the earlier photo of them looking out the shuttlecraft window is also one of those standing there in this pic.

That's an impressive set of shoulders on young Dr McCoy!

I am so jazzed by the looks of the film. It's the first time I've been excited by Trek since TNG ended... and that's a long time. There are a couple of things irritating me about it, but I'll put them on hold until I see the flick. For anyone who's interested, it's the Enterprise being constructed on Earth (which I guess people have been talking about for ever) and the design of the Starfleet skirts. There's something about Uhura's unform that I really hate. It's the skirt, not the blouse - that I like.

ETA: Checkov looks so cute.

On the bright side, at least in our politically correct modern-day world the studio LET the movie show women officers in short 60s-style skirts.

^I don't hate the skirt for being a skirt. It's the cut of it I don't care for. I think the skirts in TOS are too short, but I do think they look stylish.
