Hey, I never noticed that before....

Hmmmm....also in 'Arena', the first time Kirk kneels down to talk into his recording device, he is wearing lace up boots. Maybe the Metrons decided he needed more ankle support.

Sacrilege to alter The Gorn! God how I loved that green skinned guy as a kid! He scared the life out of me but I respected him no end!

I was watching "Shore Leave" last night and noticed that during the fight with Finnegan. Kirk was wearing a white undershirt and white socks. As was Finnegan's stunt double. Maybe it was cold there.

Yes. I figured that even while shooting in the Summer, up in the foothills during the early or late hours it would start to get kind of chilly. Or they were just wearing extra padding for the fight scenes.

I was watching "Naked Time" recently and during the scene in the rec room, I noticed some of the crew playing what looked like a 3 D version of checkers. You can see the chess game that Spock plays with Kirk there too, but this was a different game. Does anyone know if it is a checkers version or a different game entirely (I believe it's during the argument scene between Joe, Sulu and Riley)

In Stephen Whitfield's classic book, "The Making of Star Trek", there are recreation room photos of the square/4 level checkers game and on the next page is the 3D chess set. I have enough trouble understanding normal chess, let alone a 3D version.

In "The Cloud Minders", Kirk beams down to Vana's cell. He sparkles as he materialzes, but the filter mask he is holding just fades in without any transporter effect.

Spock's displeasure with Kirk and McCoy's "insufferably pleased"-ness at the end of "Friday's Child" is due to jealousy that his name wasn't part of the baby Teer's name.

^ Just to get Spock further annoyed, McCoy should have told him that the baby's name was 'Leonard James Green Blooded Hobgoblin Akaar'.

I have the second version of that 3D checkers game. The first version was used in the series, so mine isn't screen accurate. But it's pretty close and was a great find at a yard sale.
