Hey, I never noticed that before....

Pon Farr isn't seven years between nookie, it's seven years between renewing the marriage vows. With a built in "divorce in case of a better offer" fight to the death clause.

I thought the idea was that they'd salvaged parts from the Delta Vega facility, including that console. "You're a talented thief, Kelso. Everything you sent up seems to be fitting in place."

It's a bit weird, but I've always thought, no matter how many times I've seen it, that Scott says "fitting like a glove". But no, your quote is correct. Just strange.

NCC-1701/7, The Galileo Seven, Gary Seven, Pon-Farr every seven years..I'm sensing a pattern here..

It's not 47, so I have to say it doesn't really make much of an impression on me!

^Nah. See my post at the top of the page. Pon Farr is really just the wedding ceremony. It's an intense ceremony, that they just really have to participate in, but it's just the ceremony. Any boinking that later goes on isn't mandatory for the participants, it's just logical. After all, they just got married. ;)

I always read it as they have to have a jump every seven years or go mad in the trying! Then again I've known blokes here on earth who've never had a nibble in their lives and are as nutty as a fruit cake so maybe it's a similar thing here as well?
JB

I know guys here who've had many a nibble and are as nutty as a storeful of fruitcakes, so I don't think there's a correlation.

Just watched "The Galileo Seven". All of these years, I assumed the title referred to Shuttlecraft Galileo #7 or something to that effect. Then I listened more closely to the dialogue where it mentions that there are seven people aboard. Duh. It only took me this long to catch on.

McCoy is also wearing his phaser upside down for part of the episode.

I have to say when I was a kid, I always thought Vulcans only had sex once every seven years and had to go back to Vulcan to do it. That whole business of salmon having to return to the place where they were born to spawn and all that.

I am working through TOS on Blu-Ray, and - even in high resolution, the Obelisk in "Paradise Syndrome" is a magnificent piece of set-building. Beautifully built and convincingly decorated.

Somehow anticipating Spectre of the Gun, McCoy has unfortunately chosen here the improper way to wear his sidearm, as illustrated in this instructive clip:

Probably already been mentioned, but both "Wink of an Eye" and "The Empath" use the same Scotty in the Conn speaking into the intercom scene. In "Wink," its a log entry to cover the actual dialog. Billy Blackburn is in the navigation spot for the doubly used footage.

The greased DA look and then his flat grey top! It was such a change in the look of the character that you expected it too have taken place over a couple of years! Yet the broadcast order had Scotty going back and forth, Black to grey and back again! Maybe he was wearing a 23rd century version of Grecian 2000?:guffaw:

Grey? When was Scotty grey in TOS?

From Day of the Dove to The Empath and Let that be your last Battlefield to Turnabout Intruder!

Can't say I noticed. Always looked to have dark hair to me until TMP. Looking at the screen caps, you might be right. His looks to be going a bit salt and pepper but varies with the lighting. Not what I'd call grey, but heading towards it.
