Re: Heroes: "Upon This Rock" & "Let It Bleed" 1/4/10 - Grading/Discuss
I'm at the point I fast forward though half the episode. Heroes used to be one of my favorite shows. Wow.
I've been doing that for a while. I zap any scene that fails to contain Matt, Peter, Sylar or (used to be

) Nathan. Saves me a lot of annoyance.

Claire + Sylar that sinks not only is a mass killer he is after jall bait
Um, what now? Claire is in college now. She's at
least 18, probably 19 by now. In what world is that considered jail bait?
He must be referring to her mental age.
I can't help but feel kinda cheated at the stuff that ended up on the "cutting room floor":
1. How did Peter and Noah end up deciding to haul Nathan's corpse onto a plane and crash it? That must have been one fairly interesting sequence of events, starting with Peter calling Noah: "Hi, dipshit. I found out my brother is Sylar. Thanks for treating me like I'm twelve years old. My mother I could believe, because mothers do that, and Parkman's a moron, so what's your excuse? Oh incidentally Nathan is dead but Sylar escaped so while we're waiting for him to hunt you down and slice open your skull, howsabout you help me cover up Nathan's death?"
2. Just how much did Peter really tell Claire anyway? Claire was pretty offended by the very notion that she could regard Sylar as equivalent to Nathan, and thinks Peter's sympathetic to that point of view. I guess Peter forgot to mention the part about trying to force Sylar back into Nathan-hood...
If Peter could regain the abilty to retain more than one power, then watch out. I would like to see Peter be the villian next season (if there is one).
Peter can't even stay mad at Angela for her horrifying betrayal (much worse than Noah's betrayal of Claire, since Peter had a much more significant relationship with Nathan than Claire ever did) but Claire's acting like queen bitch again and Peter's doing his mopey, I-forgive-everyone routine...what a frakkin
masochist!
Here's where they're going with Peter's story. Sylar will be "redeemed" by having Nathan permanently lodged in his brain. Peter will finally get the better of him in that Mother of All Battles we were promised all these years but then Peter will see the Nathan-ish part of Sylar and will refuse to kill him and forgive him for all his sins. The end.
If that's how they end the series...Who's up for a riot at NBC (pitchforks and torches, baby)?
Ratings: looks like almost everyone remembered to come back from Xmas break, demo-wise...last figure was 2.3/6.
