HEROES - Season 2

The only real complaint I had about season two was the character assassination that claimed two of my favorite season one characters. Mohinder Suresh and Noah Bennett.

Both kicked ass in season one. Both were assholes in season two. Gyagh.

Nikki is dead. Tracy Strauss isn't a new personality. She's a new spoiler. Micah is out. Monica is out.
I wonder how they are going to address these elements.
How can Nikki be dead, I view her as the main "host" to her personality aspects. How can Tracy exist then? For that matter would Jessica be "dead" as well.
Micah I like, hate to see him go. He's like a cool Wesley Crusher.
Can't say I'll miss Monica, she had potential, wonder what 2-3 sentence line they'll dismiss her & Micah with?

I agree that they made Peter look foolish. Peter's an emotional person in the extreme, which is appealing, and I get it that Adam manipulated him by healing Nathan's burns, but Peter knows that Hiro's a good guy. They've been through experiences together trying to stop Sylar. For Peter to just trust Adam so blindly with such a potentially deadly virus seemed naieve in the extreme. I get it that he viewed Adam as a fellow prisoner, and I really do understand his trust...up to a point. Adam murdering the female doctor like that should have given Peter a clue. I'm hoping the story of Nathan's shooting and Nathan's new views of the world makes up for that.
I felt the same way. I get the "prison bonding" thing for trusting Adam. Once he released Victoria only to shoot her my alarm bells would've been on full blast. Then when Hiro shows up there is no way I keep faith in Adam.

At least in season 3 we won't be hearing Maya screaming "AALLLWWJJJAAANNNDDDROOO!" over and over in the episodes. But then again she might be screaming Mohinder's name instead. :(

In answer to the Nikki questions under the spoiler--
The Sanders twins, Nikki and Jessica, were actually identical triplets. The company took the third sister, Tracy, away because it suspected the girls would have abilities.

Then when Hiro shows up there is no way I keep faith in Adam.

No lie. Hiro is so unabashedly "good." That Peter just kept him on the wall and wouldn't even begin to listen--after what happened to Victoria--defied all logic. Peter's emotional. He isn't downright stupid. They could have come up with a different Peter/Nathan reunion moment than this. Sure, it's an "awwwwww" moment that Peter has that much faith in Nathan, but don't make him completely stupid to achieve that moment. There are other ways to explore and examine the fraternal relationship. I'm hopeful this season will achieve that; anyone who's read other spoilers knows exactly what I mean. ;)

How do you forgive someone, your brother, when you know that given a specific set of circumstances, he would hurt you? Now there's a real story. Any other character coming from the future to stop Nathan from making a mistake and revealing the abilities of the "heroes" by plugging him in the chest is one thing. Peter being the one to do it is something else.

And, for the record, I hate West. Total poser, Stalker-Emo boy. Comes on WAY TO STRONG in the first episode and never lets up. I get that she likes him because he's the only one she can talk to about stuff, but for her to choose this idiot over the guy that's done EVERYTHING imaginable to protect her, is really stupid on her part. He gets more tolerable as the season goes on, but just barely.

And I must confess I never liked Nikki. Because Nikki isn't interesting. Jessica is interesting. It's the Jean Grey principle. Take away Dark Phoenix and you're left with just Jean *Yawn* Grey. Take away Cyclops(D.L.) and she's even less interesting. And even then The Crazy Girl routine got old a while back. Now D.L. wasn't one of my favorite characters, but he was someone I related to and I didn't like the way they had him go through all that drama only be shot down by some random idiot. It just seemed....cheap.

The only real complaint I had about season two was the character assassination that claimed two of my favorite season one characters. Mohinder Suresh and Noah Bennett.

Both kicked ass in season one. Both were assholes in season two. Gyagh.

Bennett was forgivable because his decisions were more understandable. He was fighting for his life and that of his family. I agree with Bennett. You go after the family of a ruthless assassin Mohinder, without even bothering to tell him about the virus, and betray his trust like that? How did you think it was going to end you asshole? Bennett should have just shot him.

Yeah, Mohinder lost lots of respect for me. The Company used him and abused him all of season one, violated his sense of morality at every turn, but Bob is so much nicer then Linderman, so that makes up for it. Gimme a break. He's got to know that those assholes murdered his sister with that virus. Doesn't that mean anything to him?

Yeah. And with Mohinder speaking the on-and-off narration throughout the series, I always felt he was the overriding voice of reason in season one. He's Professor X, in a way. Or I felt he was going that direction.

Now he's a dick. Also: Spiderman?

God damn it.
