The last episode has been by far the best episode yet, but the writing or the characters still isn't as good as season one heroes and I fear that this episode is going to be this season's peak.
1. The reintroduction of Mohinder was excellent. It's a shame how much better the old characters are than the new characters and this episode really hits home that fact.
2. This episode also shows how much better this show is with Hiro and his time travel element. Although Hiro is much more subdued, he brings the time travel/teleport/paradox element to the story that makes it as interesting as S1 heroes. I loved the part where he teleported several times and apparently saw several different outcomes of the future that is worse than stopping the bomb.
3. Again, with the time travel element, the rediscovery of the day of Odessa was excellent. I like the slowly sheding light of the day HRG lost of memories and how it ties in to the entire S1.
4. I suppose they have no choice since the Clarie's actor isn't coming back, but the way they handled Clarie's death was dumb. As a writer with my hands tied since I don't have the actor to work with, I don't know what I would of done, but c'mon who the hell would not lift the sheet and see their daughters face one last time? Also HRG never checked of it was really clarie and that he really could not save her? The whole scene just seemed cheesy. They really wouldn't pay the actor enough to do a legitimate 5 minute scene with Clarie's real body? I really did not like this scene at all. Seemed very low budget.
5. With that said.... the twist of Tommy and Emily being Claire's children was a great twist from the writers. That came out of left field and is a very good reason why HRG wanted his memory wiped. I bought it. Good writing.
6. I'm going to be very pissed of it's not revealed who the biological father is by the end of the season.
7. The overall feeling I got from this episode is that things seem very good when this show returns to it's roots. This episode seemed very "S1 Heroes"
